IGLC Mailing List

According to the IGLC Charter and Operating Procedures, the organization maintains a mailing list to facilitate leadership communication and community engagement.

Use of the IGLC Mailing List

The IGLC mailing list can be used for the following types of announcements:

• IGLC Business: The IGLC General Secretary may use the mailing list to share official information and conduct polls on IGLC-related matters.
• IGLC Conference Information: Organizers of the current IGLC conference may distribute details about the event, including calls for papers and registration information.
• Non-IGLC Announcements: IGLC members may request the moderator to post community-relevant announcements, including:
  • Memorials: Tributes to honor deceased members who made significant contributions to the community.
  • Event Announcements: Events of potential interest to the IGLC community, provided they meet the following criteria:
    • Address topics aligned with IGLC’s focus areas.
    • Are conducted primarily in English.
    • Are accessible online or as in-person events with global relevance.
  • Calls for Papers: Invitations for submissions to conferences or journal special issues related to IGLC focus areas.

Other types of announcements are subject to individual review by the IGLC Moderator. Each announcement should include a brief explanation of its relevance to the IGLC community.

Moderator Responsibilities

The IGLC Moderator is responsible for managing and moderating the mailing list, including:

• List Management: Adding new subscribers and maintaining the integrity of the mailing list.
• Content Moderation: Reviewing and approving non-IGLC announcements to ensure relevance and appropriateness.
• Communication Oversight: Overseeing the distribution of emails, except for official IGLC business communications sent directly by the IGLC General Secretary.

Subscription

All registered participants of an IGLC conference are automatically subscribed to the mailing list, with an option to opt out during registration.

The IGLC mailing list is open to anyone interested in staying informed. Individuals outside the IGLC membership can either contact the IGLC Moderator to request subscription to the mailing list or sign up using the form below:
