IGLC Proceedings Copyright Policy
For the Proceedings of the Annual Conference of the International Group for Lean Construction (IGLC), the following copyright policy applies:
- Transfer of Copyright: Upon acceptance for publication, the copyright for each accepted work is exclusively transferred to the designated Proceedings Editors of the IGLC Annual Conference. This transfer enables the editors to publish the work in both print and unrestricted digital formats.
- Retention of Proprietary Rights: Authors retain all proprietary rights (e.g., patent rights) to their work, excluding the copyright, which is transferred to the IGLC Proceedings Editors.
- Author Rights for Republication: Following publication in the IGLC Proceedings, authors have the right to republish their work, in part or in full, in any publication where they are an author or editor, as well as to make other personal uses. All republications or personal uses must credit the original IGLC Proceedings publication, including the editors' names and the original page numbers.
- Public Domain Works: If the work is in the public domain, the authors grant permission for its publication without transferring copyright.
- Security Clearance: If the work requires security clearance, the authors must ensure clearance is granted before submission.
- Originality: Authors confirm that the work is original and has not been previously published, or if previously published, they have secured necessary permissions and credited the original source.
- Submission Requirement: The work will not proceed to publication until an executed copyright transfer form is submitted to the IGLC Proceedings Editors.
This policy is designed to protect intellectual property while allowing authors rights to utilise their work in future publications and personal capacities. For any questions, authors should contact the designated IGLC Proceedings Editors for their conference year.
