AB  - There is a general perception among researchers that the practice of takt varies within projects. Takt planning relies on collaboration between the production team members, who transform a production strategy into a production schedule. One of the goals of the method is to create flow, and hereby allow construction processes to be efficiently executed. Workflow within construction has been measured with different methods: observation, self-evaluation and Last Planner™ System (LPS). To achieve workflow, challenges must be removed. Hence, the novel contribution of this paper is to highlight (1) general challenges expected during the takt plan-execution and (2) takt performance indicators that reveal these challenges. After a longitudinal case study, this paper presents 16 challenges and 7 indicators which together give a foundation for further research of workflow within other Takt Planning and Takt Control-projects.
