AB - In the construction sector, inefficiencies are high due to fragmented work, inadequate designs, and poor team coordination. In this way, this situation is also reflected in infrastructure projects. Lean Construction is a project management philosophy that significantly increases productivity in construction projects; however, there is limited literature on its implementation in sanitation projects. For this reason, the primary objective of the research was to jointly implement Lean Construction (LC), Lean Office (LO), and Business Intelligence (BI) to enhance the overall project productivity across design, fieldwork, and quality monitoring. The research method is primarily a case study in a US$60 m-plus sanitation megaproject in Panama with more than 45km of sanitation networks. The main results indicate significant improvements in design speed, sanitation pipeline execution, and error reduction. Finally, this LC, LO & BI framework can serve as a new framework of reference for the design/execution of projects, with greater transparency of information, execution capacity, and integration with the public sector and multilateral banks.
