Building on the Location-Based Management System (LBMS) theory, this paper quantifies emissions from construction machinery and human activities, linking those to specific location tasks. Applied to several case studies and scenarios, including large-scale residential and commercial projects, the approach demonstrated the potential for identifying and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Findings highlight the necessity of aligning planned schedules with emission targets, suggesting that this integrated quantification method is crucial for compliance with upcoming climate goals and for developing effective emission reduction strategies and technologies in the construction industry, in alignment with 2050 regulatory milestones and EN 15978.
