ED - Arroyo, Paz AB - Lean construction has been considered as one of the key skills/attributes of construction management professionals. Lean educators have devised various teaching approaches and methods designed for different targeted audiences. This paper describes the Lean construction teaching approach for university graduate students. The description includes the course goal and objectives, content, and teaching-learning methods. One of the key features of the course that differentiate it from other literature in lean teaching is that it employs action learning in which the student learn how to solve a construction process problem and re-evaluate solutions they proposed. The authors of the paper consist of the instructor and previous students of the course; therefore both aspects of teaching and learning can be explored.
