Building maintenance is essential for ensuring the project’s planned performance, safety, and functionality during the phase of use and occupation, which are ensured by the maintenance management. However, with the increasing complexity of buildings, the traditional maintenance management methods have become outdated. The lean mentality is shown as a viable alternative since it is possible to apply it in building maintenance through its principles and practices. The research strategy adopted was the case study carried out in a building maintenance company. A lean maintenance checklist was created, composed of 46 practices grouped in the five lean principles, which support identifying the level of lean maintenance deployed in the activities and processes of building maintenance management adopted by the company. }, author_keywords={Lean construction, lean maintenance, building maintenance management, construction industry. }, address={Lima, Peru }, issn={ }, publisher={ }, language={English}, document_type={Conference Paper}, source={IGLC}, }
